Make Your Own Chow-Mein!
-
Super easy way to impress some friends!
-
Cooks fast and tastes great!
Alright. So you love chow-mein and want to make your own. You've come to the right place. Chow-mein is super easy: noodles, water, oil, sweet-soy sauce. That's all that you'll need. Cook Time: 7-10 mins Getting Started: 1. Choose a good rice noodle, either flat or made with another ingredient (my favorite is spinach rice noodles). You can find these at any grocery market or Trader Joe's type food market. 2. Boil the rice noodles in a pot of water, much like you would with spaghetti, BE CAREFUL, RICE NOODLES ONLY NEED A FEW MINUTES IN HOT WATER. Rice noodles cook much faster than traditional spaghetti.

3. Once you've cooked the noodles and drained them in a
conventional noodle strainer (you may need a super-fine strainer with
some noodles), throw the noodles into a frying pan with some oil (I use
olive-oil) and fry up the noodles for about 3 minutes, stirring
occasionaly. 4. Add sweet-soy sauce, soy sauce, or a mix
of soy and teriyaki, just a little drip here and there kinda like
you're putting chocolate syrup on some ice-cream, and stir the noodles
until they all become consistently darker throughout. 5.
Your done!! At this point you can add chicken, vegetables, even
scrambled eggs. Just add any ingredients and stir it up while the pan
is on medium heat. Serve and enjoy!!

Thanks for writing this. I can cook almost anything, but I don't have many Chinese food recipes, so this is helpful. Reply...
