Instead of traditional pumpkin pie, why not try something different this Thanksgiving? Here is a great recipe for pumpkin cheesecake pie. It's very simple to make and quite delicious.
Ingredients:
- 1 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin puree
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 prepared graham cracker crust
- Whipped cream or whipped topping
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Combine softened cream cheese, sugar and vanilla and beat until creamy.
- Add in eggs and pumpkin, beating until smooth.
- Stir in cinnamon and nutmeg until well blended.
- Spread the batter into the pie crust.
- Bake for 40 minutes or until center is set.
- Allow to cool, then chill overnight.
- Serve with whipped cream or whipped topping, if desired.
