<p>"Anime", if you get right down to it, is any drawing that is drawn in the territory of
Japan by a Japanese national. This includes comic books and animated
cartoons, which are typically produced by innovative Japanese
companies, then passed on to American filmmakers who plagiarize every
aspect of the original artists' work. Hence the name:<br>
<br>
<span style="font-family: courier new;">A - American-made?</span><br>
<span style="font-family: courier new;">N - No</span><br>
<span style="font-family: courier new;">I - I mean</span><br>
<span style="font-family: courier new;">M - Maybe...</span><br>
<span style="font-family: courier new;">E - Eventually<br></span><br>
As a young artist [who has no girlfriend], only you can come up with the actual <strong>premise</strong>
of the next American-made anime franchise, (note: stay away from the
robot prostitute idea; that’s mine) but the following guidelines can
help you design the most important element: a catchy anime <strong>title</strong>.<br>
<br>
A traditional anime title is a nonsensical juxtaposition of two random words. One of the words should be sleek, technical or “<strong>manly</strong>”, the other - a cute, amusing or “<strong>girly</strong>” word. Observe the following real-world examples:<br>
<br>
Cowboy... <em>BEBOP</em><br>
Sailor... <em>MOON</em><br>
Project... <em>A-KO</em><br>
Dragon... <em>BALL</em><br>
Biolab... <em>FEMALES</em><br>
<br>
Optionally,
a cool-sounding alphanumeric code can be added to the name. Anything
along the lines of X, Z, Alpha, 999, GXP will do. Like a model number
of a vehicle, this code doesn’t need to have any purpose or logic
behind it, as in:<br>
<br>
Dragon Ball... <em>Z</em><br>
Sailor Moon... <em>S</em><br>
Tenchi Muyo... <em>GXP</em><br>
<br>
As
you can see, by using the above method it is even possible to INSTANTLY
come up with a good anime title even if the idea behind it has not yet
been developed. Just off the top of my head:<br>
<br>
<em>Respirator Lollypop DX</em><br>
<em>Algorithm Tampon Delta</em><br>
<br>
The possibilities are endless. Now try it yourself.<br>
<br>
And
don’t get discouraged when you discover that your entire interest in
anime is merely a passive-aggressive attempt by your
beaten-down ego to escape your severe social inadequacies. Ways to deal
with <strong>that</strong> will be addressed in a future article. Good luck!<br>
<br>
<br>
<span style="font-family: trebuchet ms; font-size: 78%;">FUN FACT:The word “anime”, a term describing a craft, like “calligraphy” or “woodwork”, is often capitalized by morons.</span></p><p><br></p>
