Marmaris,Turkey October 2005

Thursday, October 6^th

Our journey begins after a 50 minute flight to Marmaris, Turkey that went on to become a 2 (!) hour bus ride to our hotel - begonville (http://www.begonville.com), located 2 minutes from the sea

When we got to our room the AC smelled like some thing dead, but all the workers said it was ok.

We walked a bit in the small town, but got tiered and went back (by delmush) to take a nap.

We had fish for dinner, took another tour of the town, found a small market and bought some snacks, came back to the room and were glade to see a TV station with American shows.

Friday, October 7^th

Went to the marina and were amazed at the many restaurants. At the entrance to each one was a man that tried to convince us to come in. after a stroll, we needed to go to restroom, and were bummed out to see that they were bull's-eyes.

For lunch we ate some kebabs, then went to a palace from were the view was breath taking. Afterwards we took a delmush to the hotel for a midday nap.

When we got up we went to the see for a swim, but it was freezing (!) cold, so we decided to take a swim in the hotel pool, which was also cold.

After dinner we made another stroll, and then to bed.

Saturday, October 8^th

Today is "safari" day. We got up early and went to meat our guide.

The guide knows a little Hebrew (which was nice for us). He was very funny. We got on the way, the view was amazing! (see "seen from the jeep")

We stopped at some clear water lakes and ate a very bad lunch.

From there we drove to a place were you can "walk on water". We took off our shows and went it. The rocks were very painful to foot soles (see "walking on water").

At the end of the trip the drivers took us to a place with some rough terrain so they can have some fun and show off.

Sunday, October 9^th

Today we went to Icmeler, which is a quaint little coastal town.

We started with a walk thru the streets looking at the magnificent homes.

From the main road we saw a view of the entire town - what a sight (see "Icmeler view").

When we got to the sea (see "Icmeler sea"), we rented two sun beds and took a long nap .

 We returned to Marmaris with a taxi-boat (see "view from taxi boat").

Monday, October 10^th

Today we wanted to return to Icmeler, but the rain ruined this option, so we took a walk to the town. We looked around for stuff to bring back to the family back home.

The rain stopped for a while so we came back to the hotel and went swimming in the pool (see "basking in the sun"). It was fun.

 For lunch we wanted a pizza, so we looked around for a nice place. We found one that wasn't expensive. We waited 30 minutes and finished it in 8, it was good.

After dinner we went out to eat ice cream, walk back to the hotel and got a good night sleep before our flight tomorrow back home.
